The thickness trade-off, honestly

Skin bases run from 0.06 to 0.14 mm. Thinner disappears against the scalp but wears faster — expect roughly 12–16 weeks of daily wear from our thinnest bases. Thicker skin lasts longer and handles adhesive more forgivingly. Neither is "better"; the right choice depends on your routine, and we'll tell you straight which end of the range fits it.

How long does a custom hair system take?

Custom orders take 8–10 weeks because every strand is hand-ventilated and knotted onto the base. Need hair sooner? Stock systems ship in 2–3 days.

What do you need from me?

Your template, a hair sample cut from the back of your head for colour matching, and photos of your current hair. We confirm the full spec with you before production begins.

Do I need a stylist to fit it?

For a first cut-in we recommend a professional stylist who specialises in hair systems. We partner with 40+ salons.

How is a custom skin-base system specified?

Base size, contour, thickness, density, colour, hair length and curl pattern are confirmed from your measurements and consultation before production. These are configuration-dependent rather than fixed stock specifications.

How does a skin base differ from lace?

A skin base uses polyurethane for a smooth bonding surface and straightforward adhesive cleanup. Lace prioritises airflow and a lighter feel. The right choice depends on your scalp, routine, preferred bond and replacement cycle.

How should I care for a custom skin-base system?

Follow the care plan for the selected thickness and ventilation. Fully release adhesive before lifting, clean the base gently, use sulfate-free products and air-dry before reattachment.
